Wiresawing is a very versatile and efficient method, typically used for cutting large sections of heavily reinforced concrete.
A diamond beaded wire is fed around the work piece and through a system of pulleys whilst a constant pulling force is applied, enabling the wire to cut through construction materials.
When cutting depths exceed the limitations of even our larges wallsaw with a conventional blade, a wiresaw is sometimes the only solution.
Wiresaws are ideal in more complex situations, for example, in awkward or confined spaces.
Below is an image of a recently completed job, where we cut a tunnel through a dam wall in a reservoir in the Mourne Mountains. The tunnel was the size of a double doorway and SEVEN metres deep!
